Herbal Tea ® Inc. is a 100% American Indian owned and operated
company which incorporated in May of 1987. Our basic concern
is to increase the employment of Indian people. Because
of the popularity of our tea, our company is enjoying rapid
growth throughout the United States and other various parts
of the world.
Much of
our company is based on our cultural knowledge, which is
why we have our own American Indian herbalist whose background
was handed down from generation to generation. There are
many things the American Indian shared with the rest of
the world, such as new medicines, new foods and their cultural
ways. The Indian people have been enjoying many flavorful
blends of herbal tea since ancient times. Although many
of the plants and herbs used are what we call "everybody's
plant" meaning common knowledge, we do not sell what is
known as the "sacred plants," used in healing ceremonies.
It is our belief that certain medicines cannot be sold and
therefore we do not incorporate them into our blends. Our
tea formulas are based on the stories and legends of how
the American Indian used herbal tea in their culture. Born
from the knowledge of generations of the First American
herbal tea drinkers, our tea contains all natural ingredients,
which is excellent for those health conscious individuals.
