When
Dakota Flax Gold is shipped fresh, it lasts indefinitely.
However, it has a high oil content (48% OMEGA 3) once it's
ground it oxidizes and will quickly spoil "Just treat
it like a glass of milk or a t-bone steak where freshness
is important." The secret is to grind fresh
every time you use it. So Heintzman Farms sells a kit consisting
of three 1 lb. bags of DFG, a mini-electric grinder and
two cholesterol kits for under $100. The first day, you
simply use one of the cholesterol tests and record your
count and also your weight on the certification from enclosed.
For the next 15 days, consume 1/4 cup flax ground in juice
or cereal per day, then use the second cholesterol test
and record your count and your weight. YOU BE THE
JUDGE - if you want to order a 6 month supply and
continue the simple high-fiber DFG designer diet, Rick has
for you without changing your lifestyle and no side effects.
Q.
What is the recommended level per day of Omega-3's?
A.
After consulting with my Doctors, 1000 mg per day is the
minimal recommended amount. DFG at ¼ cup has 9000 mg. The
body cannot manufacture the essential Fatty Acids, Linoleic
(Omega-6) or Linolenic (Omega-3) from other elements. They
must be supplied daily in the diet. In the typical North
American diet we consume too much Omega-6 and do not get
enough Omega-3. Only in Flax seed are the Essential Fatty
Acids balanced perfectly.
Q.
Is 1/4 cup Dakota Flax Gold the recommended daily amount
before or after it is ground?
A.
Measure 1/4 cup DFG whole seeds, then grind.
Q.
What is the difference between brown flax and DFG?
A.
Brown flax is primarily used for industrial purposes. When
processed, the oil is used in linoleum, car paints, etc.
The meal-by-product is used in animal feeds. DFG has a larger,
flatter, softer seed with a mild, nutty flavor that enhances
food or drinks.
Q.
What do Omega-3's and Omega-6's do?
A.
The two essential fatty acids that together:
- form
the membranes of every one of the billions of cells in
our bodies
- control
the way cholesterol works in our system
- make
up a very large part of the brain's active tissues
- are
the only fats that become prostaglandins, which play key
roles in regulating the cardiovascular, immune, digestive
and reproductive functions; inflammation and healing;
functioning of the brain; and body heat and calorie burning
(weight loss).

Q.
How do I clean my flax mill?
A.
Wipe the mill clean with a dry cloth. Do not use water.
Q.
I am targeting weight loss, how can this help?
A.
Take ground DFG in a juice 1 hour before your largest meal
of the day. When mealtime arrives, eat 1/2 to 1/3 portions
less than you are used to eating. The high protein and fiber
diet will fill you up naturally and curb your appetite.
Works very well!
Q.
How do I store my flax?
A.
In a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. If you live
in a warm climate, refrigeration is best.
Q.
What are lignans (a documented anti cancer agent)
and what do they do?
A.
Lignans are steroid-like compounds found in many plants
but the richest known source is in DFG. The benefits of
lignan in the prevention of colon and breast cancers
are available to all people by simply adding ground DFG
in their diet. I have compared DFG to some other foods for
your information, to show the amazing results:
To get the same amount of Lignans as ¼ cup of DFG has, you
would need to eat (in one sitting) a comparable serving
of one of the following
..
- Mon.
90 lbs. of cabbage = 1/4 cup DFG.
- Tues.
82 lbs. of bananas = 1/4 cup DFG.
- Wed.
75 lbs. of strawberries = 1/4 cup DFG.
- Thurs.
26 lbs. of broccoli = 1/4 cup DFG.
- Fri.
12 lbs. of wheat = 1/4 cup DFG.
Q.
What is another way of taking the flax after it is ground?
A.
Grind 1/4 cup DFG and pour into mug. Add 1 tablespoon honey,
1 tablespoon sunflower seed or walnuts, add 1/4 cup milk.
Mug should be 3/4 full. Stir and eat like a dessert.
Q.

Q.
How long does it take for arthritis relief?
A.
If I take a 50# bag and would squeeze out the oil, I would
have 2.5 gals. So, by understanding that, once the oil is
in our bodies, good things begin to happen. It seems that
arthritic sufferers really don't feel any different until
they run out of Dakota Flax Gold, then they claim of old
aches and pains.
Q.
What is-the shelf life of DFG?
A.
Nature put a very hard seed coat on the flaxseed to preserve
it. The shelf life is between 5000 and 8000 years. With
that in mind, now you know how important it is to grind
the seeds just before you use it. Once the DFG has been
processed or ground, treat it like a perishable or like
a glass of milk. Any ground unused Product should be refrigerated
or frozen and used promptly for full flavor and nutrition.
Q.
How long will a small bag last me when I get up to ¼ cup
per day?
A.
There is a 10 day supply in one bag at a cost of $.68 per
day. With my 6, ten pound bulk units this equals 9 months
supply for two people at a cost of $.37 per day.
Q.
What is the best way to take it?
A.
I prefer Ruby Red Pink Grapefruit Juice by Ocean Spray and
most of my customers do the same, if they do not eat a breakfast
cereal.
Q.
We have concerns about using a microwave mentioned in your
recipes; what else works?
A.
To roast seeds, you may also use your oven for the same
results.
Q.
Are your seeds natural or GMO (Genetically Modified Crop)?
A.
Yes, the seeds are naturally grown. I WILL NOT COMPROMISE.....GMO
IS OUT OF THE PICTURE AND IS NOT EVEN AN OPTION!
